Con: Cavan’s fresh Breff is a big positive

- BY ORLA BANNON

CONOR MOYNAGH reckons Cavan are poised and ready to deliver on their

with an Ulster senior title.

The Breffni defender (above) won one minor and three Ulster under-21 titles but if they’re to take the next step he knows today’s showdown with Monaghan is the time to do it.

He said: “Yeah, certainly. I don’t see why not. “We have had this underage success and it is kind of time that we started showing that.

“We certainly believe we can do it within the county. It is not going to be easy, we know that.

“You set short-term goals and obviously our ultimate goal is an Ulster title – but we have got to beat Monaghan first.

“We have got to train hard, so it is a matter of breaking it down into smaller steps and we are under no illusion as to how tough that’s going to be.”
