Shane toasts new Luas link

TRANSPORT Minister Shane Ross used a can of bargain booze to toast the test run for the new Luas Cross City link in Dublin yesterday. A spokesperson for the minister, who hasn’t drunk alcohol in 30 years, said: “He was having a laugh to mark the Luas going from northside to southside.” Minister Ross added the new link was on target to be completed and operational by the end of this year.
