- BY DAVID COLEMAN

ROBBIE Williams rocked the Aviva Stadium to its foundations last night with a breathtaking performance on a glorious summer evening.

The former Take That member proved he still has it as he rattled off hit after hit for his adoring fans.

A crowd of around 50,000 basked temperatures in the mid-20s as the 43-year-old brought his Heavy Entertainment show to Dublin.

Despite security concerns in recent weeks leading to extra safety precautions being taken, fans hadn’t a care in the world as they were serenaded by the Rock DJ singer.

Robbie on the Late Late Show Robbie set the tone early by getting the crowd bouncing with a rousing rendition of Let Me Entertain You. And as he rattled through the set, the crowd was eating from the palm of his hand. As darkness fell on the Dublin stadium, Robbie ramped up the atmosphere with sing-along classic Angels. The crowd sang to their hearts content and lit up the Aviva with lighters and their phones. There were similar scenes with classic Strong, Come Undone and Feel. Support on the big night was provided by 90s dance legends Erasure who warmed the venue up with classics such as A Little Respect and Always.
