Arrest after toll damage

A MAN has been arrested after causing criminal damage to a tolling point on Friday night.

The M50 was closed to traffic at around 9.30pm when up to seven Garda cars, five fire brigades and a number of ambulances attended the scene.

The man, reportedly known to gardai, appears to have cut wires on the overhead tag readers, which enable commuters to travel through the toll booth without barriers.
