Pedestrian hit by car critical

A MAN was fighting for his life last night after a horror road smash in Galway. The 30-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car near Busghy Park on the Moycullen Road, at 1.40am yesterday. He was taken to University Hospital in Galway where his condition is described as critical. The road was closed for much of yesterday while gardai attended the scene.
