Robbie and his new soul mate

Wild duet on cards

-

Fifth Harmony’s brilliant new single Down went to No2 in the itunes charts, has been streamed 8.1million times plus they’ve already bagged a string of gongs including Favourite Group at People Choice Awards. Here singer Normani Kordei tells me what gets her to sleep at night.

The former Take Thater is a big fan of Alex’s tunes and has given him a track titled All Good People for his album.

I caught up with 63-year-old Alex on a speedboat down the Thames as he pushed his headline gig at Greenwich Music Festival on July 4.

He said: “I absolutely love Robbie. This song he has given me is incredible.

“The thing I love about him – he and I have something in common. He gets a bad rap but I happen to love what he has achieved. I love his persona and behaviour. We both tell it how it is. When I got the chance to record one of his songs, it was a thrill. I’d love us to duet together. It’d be incredible.”

The R’N’B star is one of the industry’s most infamous party animals, having admitted to crack cocaine binges and being fired by Prince. His antics are detailed in his new autobiography, All True Man. Robbie, 43, has told how drugs, drink and depression nearly killed him – but he’s been tee-total for a decade. Although he did smoke a joint in Buckingham Palace in 2012. I think this meeting of minds is something no one could Criticize.
