ELLIOTT WILL B LUCKY

-

GORDON ELLIOTT looks the man to follow at Downpatrick, where he has a host of good chances.

It is quite possible that Elliott could end the day with four winners and he is taken to get off the mark with William B.

This gelding hasn’t shown much lately, but his debut run 10 months ago was most encouraging.

Furthermore he has dropped down the weights since he moved into handicaps and this is the weakest race that he has contested so far.

The Elliott-trained Station Closed can make it three wins from her last four starts in the second of the handicap hurdles at a track where she is already a course and distance winner.

In the first of the handicap chases, Cecil Corbett is put forward as he looks to build on a good third to Deans Road at Listowel, while the Elliotttrained Its All Guesswork is impossible to oppose in the bumper.

Elsewhere, Heaney is well handicapped on his old form and might be the answer to the penultimate event on the card.

In the opening race of the day, Theatre Dreams gets the vote. Her recent second at Clonmel is a solid run, while her third to Forge Meadow last November is a standout effort.
