Rita and Andy Doherty the Irish Sunday Mirror from Cheekpoint in Co Waterford, Rita, 79, said while her husband was elderly his death had been unexpected and was entirely avoidable.
She added: “If they had two cath labs or a heart doctor on that Sunday night I firmly believe my husband wouldn’t have died and he could be alive today.
“Both of his parents died when they were in their 90s.
