Ruth’s jibe a hair-raiser on Tonight Show
Ruth Negga RUTH Negga had American viewers in hysterics when she teased a TV host about looking like an Irish politician.
The Limerick-raised actress told The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon she could not concentrate on his questions because of his new look.
The 35-year-old, who lost out on an Oscar for her part in Loving, said: “I can’t stop staring at your moustache.
“I’m not hearing you, but I love it. You look like an Irish politician from the 80s. I’m not sure how reassuring that is.”
Fallon repeated in mock incredulity: “An Irish politician from the 80s?
“That’s the nicest thing anyone ever said to me. Thank you so much.”
