De Havilland sues over US ‘gossip’ role
Star Olivia, 101 GONE With The Wind star Olivia de Havilland is suing over a TV show she says portrays her as a “gossip”.
Olivia, who turned 101 yesterday, is claiming damages over US mini series Feud: Bette and Joan – which is due to be shown on BBC2 later this year.
It explores the bad blood between legends Joan Crawford and de Havilland’s friend Bette Davis.

But the actress, the only character in the show who is still alive, claimed producers never asked permission to feature her.
In papers filed in Los Angeles, the actress said the show damages her “professional reputation for integrity, honesty, generosity, self-sacrifice and dignity”.
