Ex-soldiers in abuse jailed

-

TWO former soldiers who plotted “a campaign of sexual abuse” on teenage boys have been jailed.

Predators David Hollyoake, 59, and Keith Fricker, 62, lured youngsters by using cash and cigarettes.

One victim told a court: “The abuse I suffered as a child has destroyed my life. I still see images of it.” Hollyoake, of Cardiff, was found guilty of 30 sex abuse charges, including rape, and Fricker, of Coventry, was convicted of indecent assault. Both had pleaded not guilty.

Hollyoake was jailed for 22 years, and Fricker for three years by Cardiff Crown Court.

Judge Phillip Harrisjenkins told them: “This was nothing short of a campaign of sexual abuse.”
