Maim, set & scratch after Murray row

- BY DAVID LOVE

Andy A THUG bit a chunk out of his stepfather’s ear during an argument over whether Andy Murray is British or Scottish.

Lee Clarke left Alistair Wilson permanently disfigured after the clash which happened while Clarke, from Inverness, was socialising with his mother, Mandy Wilson, and stepdad in the city.

The 34-year-old, who had his stepfather in a headlock, said he thought he was biting the victim’s arm – but it turned out to be his ear.

He admitted assault at Inverness Sheriff Court, where sentence was deferred until July 28, reports the Daily Record.

Defence solicitor Clare Russell said: “Alcohol and anger were factors.”
