We’re addicted to Love.. and bikinis
Reality show’s hotting up with Irish arrivals
LOVE Island is fast becoming the nation’s favourite reality TV show now that two Irish people have joined the cast – fitness mad Dubliners Rob Lipsett and Shannen Reilly.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Love Island is a place where superfit, sexy singletons move into a villa in Majorca and get paired off.
Contestants are voted out with the couple that survives longest winning €60,000. But clearly the real winner of Love Island 2017 is swimwear.
We predict a huge boost in sales of bikinis and one-pieces as pool side fashion has never looked so fabulous. From Olivia’s skimpy bikinis to Amber’s strap style two-piece and Montana’s stellar all-in-one swimsuits, it’s no wonder 1.5million people are tuning into the show. There’s even an Instagram account called Loveislandoutfits which documents everything the girls wear. But let’s face it, not everyone can pull off the tiny two-pieces or shocking one-pieces. Top high street store Debenhams Ireland has created a range that is a lot more wearable. And the best thing is that prices have been slashed in the summer sales. We love the Butterfly by Matthew Williamson swimsuit which has been reduced to €49.60. Why not make a splash in the Floozie by Frost French bikini top €25.20 and matching bottoms €16.80. Bring some supermodel glamour to your holidays with the Reger by Janet Reger swimsuit (€68) modelled by original super Helena Christensen. demelza.deburca@irishmirror.ie
