Venus: I am devastated by car crash
Champ Williams TENNIS star Venus Williams has spoken for the first time of being in a car crash that caused fatal injuries to a man of 78.
Jerome Barson suffered head injuries in the accident and died two weeks later, on June 22.
His family is to file a wrongful death suit.
Williams, 37, wrote on Facebook: “I am devasted [sic] and heartbroken by this accident. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Jerome Barson and I continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers.”
Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, is seeded 10th as she makes her 20th Wimbledon appearance this year.
