Woman dies in Luas crash

A WOMAN died after being hit by a Luas in South Dublin early yesterday.

Gardai at Kilmainham are investigating the fatal collision which occurred at St James Walk, Rialto, at around 12.35am.

The victim was fatally injured when she was hit by a Red Line tram.

The scene of the incident was closed to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to examine the area but was later reopened.
