Ringo wants peace & love after Brexit

- BY SYLVIA POWNALL

FORMER Beatle Ringo Starr says he favours UK Prime Minister Theresa May over Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn to bring peace and love.

The 77-year-old made the admission outside the Capitol Records building in Hollywood as he encouraged fans around the world to chant his peace and love slogan.

When asked whether May or Corbyn was more likely to bring both in the wake of Brexit, he replied: “Well I’m not political, but it’s right now Theresa May in charge so let’s hope it’s going to be her.

“She’s going with the wishes of the British people, which is Brexit, and they voted and said, ‘OK let’s leave’ and that’s what she’s trying to carry on.”
