Linfield probe fans ‘missiles’

LINFIELD will be carrying out a probe over a “number of objects” thrown on to the pitch during their tie with Celtic on Friday night.

The Champions League qualifying game passed off relatively peacefully at Windsor Park in Belfast, aside from a number of isolated incidents.

The club said: “We will be reviewing our own footage and investigating an incident that took place during the match where a number of objects were thrown on to the pitch.”
