on holiday and my kids see me Skyping they might say ‘hello’ and go off and then they’ll say, ‘did you have a good meeting?’. I don’t want them to think they go to school preparing themselves for a ‘bad job’. I want them to know I go out the door with a skip and come back saying ‘I bossed it’. I work for a great team of women and they are badass. It is true that if you do a job you love you never work a day in your life.”

She credits her famous bikini shower moment in the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2006 for turning her life around. She says: “I planned to be a session musician. I took a shower in a white bikini and ended up a model for Marks & Spencer for five years. Everyone thinks it was a strategy. But if I had known the power of that shower, I would have done it down Oxford Street years ago.” Having survived the male dominated music scene, she hates the way successful women get called “bossy”. She says: “There is no difference between men and women. You have to be direct. Say yes and do it. There’s a parody of how women should be in business – like a ball breaker.

“I don’t take no for an answer, but I’m not afraid to say ‘I don’t know’. It’s annoying a man can be a boss but a woman is bossy.”
