Hamill named ‘legend’ but misses Carrie

- BY RYAN PEARSON

Star Wars’ Mark STAR Wars actor Mark Hamill has been bestowed one of Disney’s highest honours but wished Carrie Fisher was there to see it.

The pair were named Disney Legends during a ceremony at the company’s biannual fan convention in California.

Hamill, 65, said Fisher – who played Princess Leia – would have been entertaining him at the event.

The Luke Skywalker actor added: “Well, I wish Carrie were here.

“She would be making me laugh and be off camera extending her middle finger – one of her favourite gestures.”

Hamill added while he missed his co-star – who died in December – she would want the event to be celebratory and not sad. Singer Ora
