The Good Morning Britain presenter suggested Bez spiked his burger at a barbecue at Ronnie Biggs’ house in Brazil. He made the claim as he chatted to the band’s frontman Shaun Ryder, 54, on his ITV breakfast show last week. Piers, 52, said: “I’ve never found out what he put in those burgers but I had a very, very over-excited eight hours.”
Now Bez, 53, is demanding a full apology, saying: “It’s really sad and disgusting that an ageing TV host wants to appear cool by namedropping and pretending I’d given him drugs.
“I would never, ever spike anyone’s food or drink. I intend to clear my name. We can do it face to face or through lawyers.” Over to you, Piers...
