Ctrl Glenda Gilson as young model The glamorous TV3 presenter, 36, also admitted she tried to copy Victoria Beckham’s wedding outfit for her own big event. But Glenda, who went to the prestigious Mount Sackville Girls School in Dublin’s Chapelizod, said she wasn’t always a fashion star. She told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “For my own Debs I did a copy of Victoria Beckham’s after-wedding dress and I’m scarlet when I think about it. “Oh my God it sounds so bad now, I had a corset, cropped trousers, a skirt – cringe. “I went to eight Debs but my own was on in Jury’s Inn and I brought my boyfriend at the time. “He was such a gent, got me an orchid and came to the house. “We had a great night, we stayed in what used to be the Imperial hotel which is now the Dylan. “We spent the night in a muse out the back and it was lovely. It was really posh for a Debs.” Glenda, who’s been modelling since the age of three, was always the belle of the ball and wore a super-stylish gown to most of her nights out. She said: “I had a black Gucci dress which I loved but I gave it to someone. I never got it back and never found out where it went. “In my day the dress was always the main thing, now it’s all about make-up and hair and everything but I remember freaking out about the dress all right.”
