WAYNE ROONEY was on target again as Everton warmed up for their Europa League campaign with a 1-1 draw at Genk.

The striker fired home at the far post, getting on the end of a cross from Sandro after the former Malaga forward broke free on the right-hand side, at the Luminus Arena.

It was Rooney’s second goal in pre-season after he rejoined the club from Manchester United.

The match was Everton’s final warm-up before they take on Ruzomberok in the Europa League third qualifying round at Goodison on Thursday night.
