Jailed carer in OAP theft for wedding
A CARER sobbed as she was jailed for stealing £3,900 (€4,300) from a pensioner to help pay for her wedding.
A judge told Holly Whitehead she lied first to her bosses and then police to cover up what she did.
Paul Mann, QC, told her at Nottingham Crown Court: “You had an answer to everything.”
The court had heard Whitehead’s client was a “vulnerable” disabled man who needed daily help.
Yet she claimed he gave her cash for wedding accessories, a hairdo and even to buy suitcases.
Whitehead, 27, of Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts, admitted theft.
