What’s it worth?

- JAMIE BREESE On Antiques & Collectables

Q I own a copy of London Calling by The Clash with the lyrics printed on the sleeves. I haven’t seen this on any other London Calling album. Is it worth anything? A Darren Doyle, via email A near mint copy of London Calling with the lyrics on the sleeves would cost around €100 today. There were various different versions of the album, which was released in 1979 and considered a post-punk classic. The first UK pressings came with two lyric sheet inserts which then were replaced by the printed inner sleeves which Q you have. What’s the value of my book full of autographs from 1960s pop stars such as Mick Jagger and Brian Jones, please? And where I could take it? BrendaA Fisher, via email The Rolling Stones remain one of the most sought-after band autographs and still rank in the top 10 of rock and roll memorabilia must-haves. If you have the whole band on a page, then €1,700 or thereabouts. Brian Jones is the key here. The Beatles are by far the most desirable in terms of 1960s autographs. An expert can spot them quite easily. If they are all on one page, we could be talking €10,000- €14,000-plus. You have lots of options for in-person appraisal, including looking out for a specialist auction sale and taking Q it for a pre-sale valuation. We have a white doll’s pram made by the well-known company Silver Cross. It’s in great condition given that we think it is from the 1960s. Any value? ALeslie Bruce, Cardiff, South Wales

In good condition it could be worth €100€200. There is a good market for doll’s prams and Silver Cross are the best regarded name. They are known as the Rollsroyce of the perambulator world. They were founded in the 1870s. They were the choice for the gentry and are still royal and celeb musthaves today.
