BEATRICE FARRELLY, 57 president of Rockin’ in the Hills of Donegal Elvis Fan Club

-

BEATRICE Farrelly and 35 other fan club members touched down in Memphis on Friday for the 40th anniversary.

It’s the 57-year-old’s fourth Graceland pilgrimage and she’ll also take in a trip to Nashville and visit Elvis’ birthplace Tupelo.

She told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “We’re doing the whole thing. The Memphis vigil is going to be pretty it.” Beatrice plans to lay flowers and a photo message in honour of fellow fan Gerry Mullins, who co-founded Elvis The Wonder of You Fan Club in the Midlands.

Gerry died after suffering a heart attack just 16 days after he helped set up the fan club with Ollie Berry in 2014 and Beatrice is determined he will make the trip to Memphis with her in spirit.
