Conor: I’ll pluck singer Mick from obscurity

- BY DONAGH CORBY

CONOR Mcgregor will fly a superfan who wrote an overnight internet hit to Las Vegas for his blockbuster showdown against Floyd Mayweather.

Mick Konstantin, who wrote a song detailing the UFC lightweight champion’s rise to fame, has attracted well over two million views to his Facebook video posted only three days ago. In an interview with Mmafighting. com’s Ariel Helwani, Mcgregor, pictured right, revealed that he will be offering the fan an allexpenses-paid trip for the massive sporting spectacle.

The Dubliner, 29, said: “It was one hell of a song. We actually reached out to the guy.

“I had my people reach out to him and we’re booking his flight, him plus one.

“We’re going to bring him over to the fight, get him tickets, put him up in a hotel and I’m going to meet him maybe after the fight. “It’s one hell of a song. “I’m going to bring him in as a thank you for the support. What a song, it’s the journey in music form. “Myself and my team, we enjoyed it very much.” Mcgregor had an open workout yesterday after his UFC boss Dana White released footage of his infamous sparring session with ex-boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi.
