Drivers on edge after big car park collapse

CARS and a van hang precariously from a car park after part of it collapsed.

They were left dangling 50ft up after part of a wall and floor fell away at the Nottingham city centre NCP at 4am yesterday. Local Roger Black, 74, said: ”It’s a good thing it happened in the early hours or it could have been a lot worse.”

Police cordoned off the area as work began to secure the car park and rescue vehicles. NCP said: ”Staff are on site to help customers with cars in the building.”
