when the on-site doctor found out she had gone completely colour blind.

She said: “I was sent from clinic to clinic all over Germany.

“I had electrodes stuck to my head and my eyes and then discovered I had a retinal disorder which is genetic.

“There is nothing you can do about it. It’s going to lead to blindness potentiall­y but it is so different for everyone. It’s quite rare.”

Aine, whose her sight has dropped to just 50%, added: “It was really difficult as I love drawing portraits and making costumes. I don’t know what I will be like when I’m 30 or 80.”

Boston and New England Rose Orlaith Roche, 26, had been signed by top New York model agency Ford when she was struck down with a skin condition six years ago.

She revealed: “I was at the height of my career and my stars were aligned and then I ended up getting psoriasis.

“I was dropped from my agency and had to move back to Boston.

“Kids were awful to me. When you have a skin issue like psoriasis people are not forgiving and are not kind.

“It was something I had to deal with and it made me stronger and, hey, I’m a better model for it. Everyone thought
