STILL wondering what to wear to this year’s Electric Picnic? There’s less than two weeks to go so now’s the time to nail your three-day festival wardrobe.
The best way to look great at any festival is to have a cracking time. Electric Picnic isn’t the fashion-focused Coachella, we rarely get the hot summer weather for that.
But that doesn’t stop the onslaught of flower crowns, glitter and super short cut-offs.
The reality is usually all of the above teamed with plastic ponchos and mud-spattered wellies. This year we’re taking cue from the A-list Glasto girls such as Alexa Chung and Margot Robbie who were snapped in funky oversized jumpers to keep the chill at bay.
Best pals Poppy Delevingne and Sienna Miller encapsulated the festival spirit with their fun, carefree and idiosyncratic style. Boho queen Sienna looked Nomad chic in a suede coat paired with Sorel booties, and we love Poppy’s Levi’s trucker jacket teamed with pink hoodie. Meanwhile, Quality Street heiress Millie Mackintosh let her ironic T-shirt do the talking at the event back in June. The moral of the story, ladies, is you don’t have to compromise style to keep warm. Before heading to Stradbally, Co Laois, for EP we’ll be investing in some cool layers to keep cosy in. Zara’s great AW17 Nomad collection is festival dressing for the fashion crowd. It boasts a full-length shearling coat, handcrafted details such as embroidery, fringe, velvet and glam accessories. Each piece is entirely wearable and extremely easy on the wallet.
