High voltage secrets of the stars

-

Spare a wee thought for Matt Willis’s TV host wife Emma, who finds festivals tricky because of a “weak bladder”.

The pair partied at Glasto and this weekend Matt, 34, has been at V.

He tells me: “We have done a lot of date days at festivals. It’s nice. We had a Busted weekend at Glasto.

“I spent the whole time walking Emma back and forth to the toilet. She’d only go to the loo behind my stage because it was really nice. She has a very weak bladder.

“It’s not like she was wetting herself but she likes a nice toilet.”

Ditto! Strictly star Gemma Atkinson is delighted that she won’t be hit by the show’s infamous Love curse – because she’s been single “for ages”. The former Emmerdale star – at V yesterday with her pals – admits she’s looking forward to being paired up with a hot dancer. Gemma, 32, tells me: “There’s no curse for me, I’ve been single for ages. “I’m not bothered about being with anyone, I’m having so much fun on my own and being with the girls.” When asked if she could find love on the show, she adds: “Maybe. But it always happens when you are not looking.” It was reported last week that the BBC dance contest had failed to secure any A-listers because stars feared it could damage their relationships. Louise Redknapp’s marriage to Jamie is in crisis since she starred in last year’s contest. Good luck, Gemma! Anyone with a VVIP pass would be sneaking into Jay Z’s dressing room at V this weekend.

But not Craig David. The singer, 36, who performed at V Festival in Chelmsford yesterday, tells me he doesn’t want to hang out with any of the A-listers.

He says: “To be absolutely honest, taking nothing away, I like to party with my crew who are with me right now.”

Fair enough!

James, 29, who played the main stage at V, tells me he was miserable being overweight and has a new lease of life – and is now almost half the man he used to be.

He says: “I’ve been vegetarian for a little while. But then I watched the Netflix documentary What The Health and now I’m vegan.

“I’m a singer and dairy stuff isn’t good for you. I’ve also got a Fitbit health tracker. I was carrying loads of weight and it was terrible being fat.”

He’ll have to ditch those cheesy pizzas on his rider though. I took a peek at his list of demands, which include a Dyson fan, Egyptian cotton towels in eggshell, steamed broccoli and a UFC Playstation game. Next stop will be the private
