JUMPIN’ JACK FLASH

-

SIR JACK YEATS could be the horse to focus on in the Noel Cummins Bookmaker Handicap Chase as Tramore’s four-day August Festival draws to a close.

At Galway, Sir Jack Yeats met with defeat when finishing fifth behind Riviera Sun, but he still ran well.

He set out to make all the running and he only gave best with just over a furlong to run.

This track isn’t at all as demanding a stamina test and similar tactics could see Sir Jack Yeats dominate these rivals.

In the mares beginners chase, a chance is taken on Swift who showed up well here on Thursday evening. She produced a brave effort from the front and only just lost out to Swingbridge. Similar tactics could see her take all the beating.

In the opener, Swift’s stablemate Fort Montagu gets the vote to add this race to the bumper success he recorded here in April.

His hurdling career got off to an encouraging start when he was fourth at Listowel in June, but he disappointed next time out at Down Royal, but is better than what he showed there.

In the other maiden hurdle, Theydon Park can be placed to advantage here.
