NATHAN CLEVERLY aims to join boxing’s elite by beating Badou Jack on Saturday.

Jack gave up his WBC world super-middleweight crown to step up to lightheavy where he faces the WBA world champion.

They meet on the Floyd Mayweather-conor Mcgregor undercard and Cleverly reckons a victory will set up a career-defining clash with Andre Ward.

“Win this and it’s very likely the Ward fight could happen,” the Welshman said. “It’s a world-class fight between me and Jack. The next step up is elite level – Andre Ward.”
