HOOPS ROLL ON AGAIN

-

BRENDAN RODGERS rang the changes – but the result was the same as Kilmarnock became the 42nd victim of Celtic’s unbeaten run.

Goals from James Forrest (right) and Callum Mcgregor secured a 2-0 win and another three Ladbrokes Premiership points as Rodgers’ team showed few effects of their mid-week Champions League win over Astana.

Celtic now travel to Kazakhstan with qualification for the group stages surely a formality after winning 5-0 in the first leg.

Rodgers said: “There were so many positives.

“The level of technique and composure on what’s always a difficult surface was great.”

Hibernian were brought back to earth following their Ibrox heroics last week as a brace from Rakish Bingham helped Hamilton to a 3-1 win at Easter Road. Accies ran riot during a stunning second-half display against the side who toppled Rangers seven days ago.

And Rangers suffered further frustration as determined Hearts dug in for a 0-0 draw at Ibrox.

Michael O’halloran’s fourth of the season saw St Johnstone maintain their winning start in the League with a 1-0 win over Partick Thistle.

Stevie May marked his home debut with a double as Aberdeen overcame a stern test by Dundee.
