Lotto punter scoops €9m

A LUCKY punter is €9.4million richer this morning after hitting the Lotto jackpot. The ticket for last night’s rollover draw was sold in Dublin. The winning numbers were 1, 16, 17, 32, 34, 35 with the bonus

ball number 5. The last Lotto jackpot was won on July 5 when a syndicate netted €6.4million with a ticket bought at Argue’s Service Station in Cootehill, Co Cavan.

In last Saturday’s Lotto draw, 34 players were just one number away from hitting the €8.2million jackpot. It then rolled over for a week to make last night’s total of €9,485,078.

Meanwhile, a Euromillio­ns Plus player in Co Meath scooped €500,000 in Friday’s draw. The winning Quick Pick was sold at JR’S First Stop store in Ashbourne town centre.
