Boxer Khan’s wife praises Irishman’s respect for Dee

BOXER Amir Khan’s estranged wife Faryal has revealed her admiration for Conor Mcgregor over the “respect” he has for his long-term partner in what appears to be a sly dig at her own fighter husband.

Faryal Makhdoom Khan posted a tweet yesterday that included a quote from the mixed martial arts superstar explaining how his girlfriend Dee Devlin had supported and stood by him faithfully for years.

Above the quote, Faryal wrote: “Love this. I really respect men who respect their women despite how famous they get.”

The tweet, which was published at 11.30am, has since been taken down.

It comes weeks after a public row between Faryal and Khan when the boxer announced his marriage split and both accused the other of cheating. Khan also accused his American wife of having an affair with heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua, but later admitted he was wrong about this. Around the same time, a member of the Khan family reportedly described Faryal as “evil” and accused her of causing Amir to suffer from depression. A few days later, Amir took to Snapchat to say that Faryal and her mother were taking his daughter away from him, which had “driven” him to go out partying with a brunette Instagram star in Dubai. He told his fans: “The divorce is going through anyway and I’m just not happy with things and that’s the reason I went out last night honestly. I’m not like that.” SPLIT Amir Khan and Faryal
