PHIL JAGIELKA is sure Wayne Rooney’s magic can bring trophies back to Everton.

Rooney will be part of the team for today’s trip to Stamford Bridge.

And Toffees team-mate Jagielka (above) is convinced the 31-year-old’s influence can help bring the first silverware to Goodison since Joe Royle’s “dogs of war” won the FA Cup in 1995.

“He’s had a fantastic career and he’s not done yet,” said Jagielka, 35.

“No question, Wayne’s got plenty left in him and plenty still to offer.

“We want to put Everton back on the map as a winning team and the only way we can do that is to secure some silverware.”
