Police investigate City striker over claim he ‘punched’ club steward

SERGIO AGUERO faces a police investigation into an allegation he struck a steward at the Vitality Stadium.

The incident is alleged to have occurred in a melee that followed City’s controversial 97th-minute winner.

The Argentina striker followed scorer Raheem Sterling into a crowd of delirious City fans.

Sterling (right) was sent off, and a steward later gave a statement to police claiming he had been struck by Aguero. The City star had left the ground before he could be interviewed.

City officials have now spoken to Aguero
