Minister Murphy extended his sympathies to the families and said: “These three separate deaths, in very different circumstances and for very different reasons are tragedies for the families involved. I want to again extend my sympathies to them. “Some people have difficulties in their lives that require our assistance and our support, beyond simple shelter or housing needs. Sometimes, no matter what we do, it won’t be enough. “It’s also been a very difficult few days for the emergency homeless services and I want to thank them for all their efforts. “But people shouldn’t be dying on the streets. People deserve more dignity than that.” Sinn Fein councillor, Chris O’leary has offered his “heartfelt sympathies” to Ms Dennehy’s family. He said: “She was only in her 30s. You have another family waking up to this news. It is so very sad for them. “In my background as a community worker I deal with 100 people a week facing homeless issues. “The legacy of our time will be homelessness. So many people are people forced in to homelessness.” Independent councillor in the city, Mick Finn added: “No more excuses. Three people dead in a week because the Government cannot meet the the most basic of human needs.” news@irishmirror.ie Jack Watson died in Dublin Gillabbey Park, Co Cork, where Ms Dennehy was found Eoghan Murphy
