Panic following stage collapse at gig
AN Irish band were forced to cut their set short on Friday night at Electric Picnic after four songs as the floor started caving in.
Pogueology – a seven-piece tribute band to the Pogues – were performing just after midnight at Jimmy Lee’s Juke Joint when a part of the floor collapsed. Austin Clancy from Stradbally told Laoistoday.ie: “It could have been even worse. We are all jammed in like sardines.”
Another fan added: “A very scary moment for the people involved.”
