Girl, 8, held down during home attack

DETECTIVES are appealing for information after an eight-year-old girl was pinned down and two women aged 48 and 17 were assaulted in a house.

The aggravated burglary and serious assault happened in the Bramblewood area of Banbridge, Co Down, on Friday evening.

The girl was treated for shock after being pinned down by one of three men wearing dark hooded tops, who forced their way inside at around 10.55pm.

The women were treated for suspected fractures. PSNI Detective Inspector Stephen Harvey condemned the “vicious act”, and asked for public’s help in catching the thugs.
