Two quizzed over missing wedding girl

TWO men being quizzed in France over the disappearance of a nine-yearold girl from a wedding were last night released without charge.

The pair, both 34, were arrested on Thursday and questioned but later freed, officials said.

Hundreds of volunteers continued searches yesterday for the girl, who vanished from a wedding party in the Alpine town of Pont-de-beauvoisin last weekend.

Search notices issued by police identified the girl only as Maelys.

She was last seen during celebrations in the village hall at around 3am last Sunday.
