Mum Cheryl’s debut at Grenfell match

NEW mum Cheryl Tweedy made her first appearance since having baby Bear yesterday at a charity match for Grenfell Tower survivors.

She joined football legends José Mourinho and Peter Crouch, music stars Tinie Tempah, Olly Murs, Jarvis Cocker, Emeli Sandé and Rita Ora, and actors Jamie Dornan and Damian Lewis at QPR’S Loftus Road. The ground is a mile from where at least 80 died in June.

Olympic icon Mo Farah scored for ex-england ace Les Ferdinand’s team, who beat Alan Shearer’s side on penalties after a 2-2 draw. There were cheers as the fire’s survivors came on as subs, including Paul Menacer, Bobby Ross, Shahin Sadafi and Oluwaseun Talabi – saved as he climbed down 14 floors on a bedsheet rope with his daughter on his back. Firefighte­rs Adam Foster, Dean Smith, David Badillo and Gregg Jules also played. Around 2,000 survivors, victims’ relatives and 999 workers got Rita sings free tickets to the Game4grenf­ell. Deborah Worku, 35, took sons Jacob, seven, and Jeremiah, four. She said: “Our community is still grieving but events like today put a smile on everyone’s face.”
