Ryanair jet is halted by terror ‘joker’
PASSENGERS were ordered off a Ryanair plane yesterday after a “joker” yelled “Allahu Akbar” at an airport where two suicide bombers wreaked havoc.
The 7am Madrid flight from Zaventem, Brussels, was delayed two hours after a man suggested a bomb was on board.
Sniffer dogs were called in and luggage searched.
The Arabic phrase – meaning God is Great and used in a string of terror attacks – was heard as nine Belgian men boarded.
They were banned from the flight and face charges.
Police spokesman Peter De Waele said: “The flight commander refused to take these nine people.”
Thirty-two civilians died in ISIS attacks at the airport and a Brussels metro station last year.
