US bombing raids block IS militants

THE Us-led coalition yesterday vowed to keep blocking an IS convoy stranded in Syria.

The alliance says it and Iraq were not part of a deal agreed between Islamic State militants, Hezbollah and the Syrian government.

Hundreds of fighters surrendered on Syria’s border with Lebanon following an agreement they could leave.

But earlier this week the coalition bombed the road ahead of the convoy leaving the buses stranded in an area of desert under Syrian government control.
