Trump’s old comb’s over on Roadshow

- BY ROGER HARDY

DONALD Trump’s comb has turned up on the Antiques Roadshow – and was valued at between €110 and €220.

It was found among other toiletries in a vanity box from the President’s former yacht, the Trump Princess.

A charity shop sold it to Jeff Evans for a fiver in Gloucestershire in 2005. On told its value on the show at Helmingham Hall, Suffolk, he said: “Unbelievable – it’s a piece of plastic.” He added: “When I bought it, I wanted to put cufflinks and watches in but found it full of tat. My wife wouldn’t let me throw any of it out. It’s been in a cupboard ever since. I probably wouldn’t sell.”

Presenter Fiona Bruce said: “This has been my favourite item this year.”

Valuer Marc Allum said: “It wouldn’t surprise me if it gathers more reaction if it goes up for sale. It’s a great bit of kitsch.”

The show will air later this year.
