Sad end for Weatherfield legend
Coronation Street: TV3, Monday, Wednesday and Friday
WHETHER rumoured plans to kill off Corrie veteran Rita Sullivan are true or not, watching her dementia storyline unfold is truly heartbreaking.
The Queen of the Kabin, played by Barbara Knox, has become increasingly forgetful in recent weeks. Earlier this week alarm bells started ringing for Gemma when Rita opened the tumble dryer only to find it empty.
Things came to a head on Wednesday when she laid a place at the dinner table for her first husband Len Fairclough, who died in 1983.
Gemma confided in Rosie: “I’m not family, I know no one takes me seriously, but I’ll hold my hands up, I’m way out of my depth here. I think shes got dementia.”
