Having been team Mary Berry all the way it was a pleasant surprise to see Prue Leith effortlessly hold her own as a new judge on the Channel 4 version of the Great British Bake Off. Behind those stern glasses lurks a wicked sense of humour. Sandy Toxteth also did an admirable job – but the jury’s still out on Mighty Bouche star Noel Fielding.
