Making strides in cancer war

-

THE Great Pink Run took over Dublin’s Phoenix Park and the grounds of Kilkenny Castle yesterday morning.

More than 7,000 people took part in the charity race, which is in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland. The capital run kicked off from the junction of Furze Road and Chesterfield Avenue in Phoenix Park.

The route was covered in a sea of pink throughout the morning.

Aisling Hurley, CEO of Breast Cancer Ireland, said: “The Great Pink Run has gone from strength to strength over the past seven years and this year we have exceeded the targets we set in terms of registrations and monies raised online.”
