700 Dinkies sell for €200k
Steve Bonney A COLLECTION of Dinky vehicles has sold at auction for €200,000.
Steve Bonney spent 30 years building up the 700-strong set and kept the most valuable 12 in a safe.
The collection topped an estimate of €170,000 and a Foden eight-wheel Flat Truck brought the top price at €6,100.
Mr Bonney, 65, of Bretherton, Lancs, said he felt it was time for other people enjoy them.
He said: “The Dinky toys have allowed me to hark back to my childhood.”
