Cilla son recalls her final hours

- BY KEIR MUDIE

CILLA Black’s son Robert has spoken about his mum’s final hours as a stage musical about her life goes on tour.

The singer died two years ago after falling and hitting her head at the Spanish holiday home she built with late husband Bobby.

Eldest son and manager Robert Willis, 47, who had been out shopping for his mum in Estepona on the Costa Del Sol, said: “I walked on to the terrace and that’s when I found her.

“I knew at once she was dead. It was awful, a terrible shock.”

An ambulance was called and Robert had to phone his younger MISSED: Star Cilla Black brothers Ben and Jack to tell them the tragic news.

Robert says his mum loved the TV drama of her life starring Sheridan Smith and he hopes she would feel the same about the stage musical.

He added: “I’ll never stop being incredibly proud of her.”

Cilla The Musical is at the Liverpool Empire until Friday and then on tour. For details visit cillathemusical.com
